April Weekends
Cider Celebration

For a delicious springtime treat come to The Elegant Farmer for its Cider Celebration weekends in April. The fun happens from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays. The celebration’s offerings include apple and berry cider on sale or curl up with the kids and a hot apple cider with cinnamon stick in the kid’s corner to watch the heartwarming story of Johnny Appleseed.

“Apples are what we are known for in the fall,” says The Elegant Farmer’s John Bauer. “So we decided to have a Cider Celebration in the spring to help everyone get a little taste of that delicious harvest goodness.”

The kid’s corner offers a respite from your wonderful shopping experience to hear the inspiring story of Johnny Appleseed. The story is the fabled account of the life and times of John Chapman. An American pioneer nurseryman who introduced the apple to large parts of Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois, Chapman became an American legend while still alive. He was known not only for the planting of apple trees but for his kind and generous ways, his great leadership in conservation and establishing the importance of apples to America’s food.

“Johnny Appleseed’s story is an inspiring one to share with kids of all ages,” explains Bauer. “We invite you to come and enjoy.”

Couldn’t get enough of that Easter ham this year? The Elegant Farmer offers you a complimentary package of 6 Kaiser rolls with every one pound of sliced ham weekends in April.

“I always remember how much I love ham when I get it at Easter,” tells Bauer. “It’s nice to have it for sandwiches all year round. The kids especially love the CiderBaked Ham flavor.”
