Garden Center
April 13-June 15

Spring is in full bloom at The Elegant Farmer's Garden Center featuring plants, flowers, seeds and much more. The center specializes in vegetable plants including a wide selection of herbs and an expanded variety of tomato, pepper and cold crops. Returning this year is The Elegant Farmer’s Garden Guy, Ted Haash to answer all your gardening questions on Saturdays, May 3 and 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A retired botany and science teacher, Ted Haash has a 40 year history and interest in gardening in and out of the classroom. From an extensive vegetable garden for farmer’s market production and an aquaculture swimming pool to raise fish to a backyard putting green, Ted has done it all in the garden.”

“The Elegant Farmer takes great pride in offering the highest quality plants and flowers available locally in our Garden Center,” says The Elegant Farmer’s John Bauer. “To help our local gardeners even further, we have invited back our very popular Garden Guy to get your plant selection and growing questions answered.”

This year’s special offerings include a wide variety of vegetable plants from 8 kinds of peppers and tomatoes to seed potatoes, onion sets and asparagus roots. Add beauty to your home with a large selection of hanging flower baskets and jumbo geranium tubs for the porch or patio. Fruit plants are plentiful from strawberries to fruit blueberries, raspberries and gooseberry bushes. Rich soils and seeds are also available.

In addition to offerings of the Garden Center, The Elegant Farmer’s Farm Kitchen, Bakery, Deli & Market carries all your farm favorites from our signature Apple Pie Baked in a Paper Bag®, delicious CiderBaked® Ham and locally raised roasting chickens to Blue Ribbon Cheeses and seasonal fruits & vegetables.
