Cheep, Cheep 4-H Fun

Saturdays, March 15 & 22
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To ensure your Easter celebration is a delicious success, The Elegant Farmer carries all of your farm favorites from mouth-watering CiderBaked® Ham, Easter Basket candies, Apple Pie Baked in a Paper Bag® to locally raised roasting chickens, Blue Ribbon Cheeses and seasonal fruits & vegetables.

To add to the celebration of this festive holiday of rebirth and spring, The Elegant Farmer presents its Cheep, Cheep 4-H Fun event. This free family fun event features a 4-H menagerie of bunnies in costume, baby chicks and guinea pigs for petting and enjoying. Visiting The Elegant Farmer at Easter time for more than 10 years, the 4-H members educate and introduce children of all ages to the animals they have raised and cared for as part of their 4-H rabbit project.

It is wonderful to see the magic in the children’s eyes when they visit The Elegant Farmer to see the little baby chicks and hold the costumed “Easter” bunnies. We are also delighted to offer our visiting guests the finest farm fresh foods and baked goods for their Easter celebration made daily in our Farm Kitchen, Bakery & Deli.

The Walworth County 4-H Youth Development Program members learn leadership, citizenship and life skills along with specific training in their area of choice. The Rabbit Project helps children learn about selecting and handling rabbits, rabbit breeds, feeding, management, health and more.

The 4-H kids not only learn how to show their rabbits at the county fair but take on the responsibilities of caring for the animals year round. It is these life lessons and love for their pets that the 4-H members share at The Elegant Farmer event each year.
