National Pie Day Celebration

Dedicated to the celebration and sharing of pie. As part of our American Heritage, the celebration is the prefect opportunity to share the love of pie with all our fans! Cheep, Cheep Easter Celebration

This free family fun event features a 4-H menagerie of bunnies in costume, baby chicks and guinea pigs for petting and enjoying. Visiting The Elegant Farmer each year at Easter , the 4-H members educate and introduce children of all ages to the animals they have raised and cared for as part of their 4-H rproject. Easter food specials including CiderBaked ham, fresh breads, Easter basket candies and more.

Teddy Bear Train

Join in the family fun aboard the Teddy Bear Train! The ride is a ten-mile round trip beginning at the East Troy Depot, 2002 Church Street, East Troy, Wis. and travels to the Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago. Bring YOUR teddy bear along to participate in Teddy Bear-themed activities during the ride to the Elegant Farmer. At the Elegant Farmer, enjoy lemonade or fresh apple cider and a teddy bear cookie. Blue Ribbon Cheese Fest

Wisconsin Cheesemakers’ & Wine Train

As part of the Cheese Fest, four of our state’s finest cheesemakers join 100 passagers on board the beautifully restored East Troy Electric Railroad’s Art Deco Dining Car on Saturday, June 20, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Come sample the finest cheeses and hear directly from the cheesemakers and wine expert from Pam’s Fine Wines during this two hour round trip train ride. This year, meet cheesemaker Bill Anderson, founder of Crème de la Coulee, who specializes in soft-ripened French-styled cheeses and Anna Landmark, founder of Landmark Cheese sharing her sheep’s milk soft cheeses. In addition, veteran cheesemaker, George Crave, co-owner of Crave Brothers, will talk about the family business of cheesemaking and dairy farming while showcasing their marinated fresh mozzarella, string cheese and mascarpone. To top it off, the train will host world champion, Katie Hedrich of LaClare Family Farm showcasing her award-winning Evalon, Chevre, Raw Milk Cheddar cheeses. Old Fashioned Farm Fair

Kids of all ages are invited to the fair to participate in the ever-popular Old Fashioned Farm Fair. Dare to win the pie eating contest or enjoy a hayride or pony ride. For those wanting a bit more fun head over to view our antique tractor display or climb aboard for a train ride on the East Troy Electric Railroad from the Elegant Farmer depot. When the hungry strikes, we offer simply but best fair’s farm-fresh roasted corn, grilled brats & hot dogs, ice cream in hand rolled waffle cones, caramel corn, old fashioned candies and much, much more.
Grand Champion Cheese Tasting & Sale

Autumn Harvest Festival

Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or starting a new one this fall, The Elegant Farmer offers a family fun farm experience Saturdays & Sundays. Everyone is welcome to the orchard to pick from our 12 varieties of apples right from the tree or enjoy selecting the prefect pumpkins from the patch. Enjoy beautiful fall colors aboard a tractor-pulled hayride, pony ride or train ride. The East Troy Electric Railroad’s turn-of-the-century train departs Saturdays and Sundays from and returns to The Elegant Farmer Depot. Come enjoy our 5-acres family-friendly corn maze farm scene. While visiting enjoy our delicious specialty foods including cider, make-your-own caramel apple, warm cider donuts, pulled pork and chili, just to name a few favorites. Giving Thanks Days
Long a supporter of area families in need, The Elegant Farmer hosts its annual Giving Thanks Days. Come in and prepare for your Thanksgiving holiday a little early by purchasing your favorite pie (which freeze nicely) and help a neighbor in need. For every pie (8 inches or larger) sold on Giving Thanks Days, The Elegant Farmer gives a portion of the pie sales to the local area food pantries.
Christmas Express Santa Train
