Cheep, Cheep Easter Celebration & Bunny Train

This free, family-fun event features the Easter Bunny and a 4-H menagerie of bunnies in costume, baby chicks and guinea pigs for petting and enjoying. Visiting The Elegant Farmer each year at Easter, the 4-H members educate and introduce children of all ages to the animals they have raised and cared for as part of their 4-H project. Ride the East Troy Electric Railroad’s Bunny Train (for tickets http://www.easttroyrr.org) and make a grand entrance to meet the Easter Bunny at the Elegant Farmer. Easter specialty foods including CiderBaked ham, fresh breads, Easter basket candies and more.

All of our delicious, award-winning pies will be offered for tasting along with delicious food recipes and a wonderful shopping experience. We also give you a FREE large (1.35 lb) Farm Kitchen Banana Bread with any 8″ pie purchase. The apple orchard should also be in full bloom (with Mother Nature’s help). Wisconsin Cheesemakers’ & Wine Train

The Elegant Farmer hosts its 7th annual Wisconsin Cheesemakers & Wine Tasting Train Saturday, June 10, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Come ride the rails on the Cheesemakers Train in air-conditioned comfort on board the beautifully restored East Troy Electric Railroad’s Dinner Car featuring an Art Deco vintage interior and elegant white tablecloth tables.
Tickets are $45 each for the two-hour ride which departs and returns to The Elegant Farmer Depot, 1545 Main Street at Hwys ES & J, Mukwonago. The train travels roundtrip through the picturesque woods and lake view in the charming towns of Mukwonago and East Troy, Wis.
This year’s three artisan cheesemakers are from Springside Artisan Cheese from Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, Castle Rock Organic Farm from Osseo, Wisconsin and Glas All Naturals Cheese Spreads, Union Grove, Wisconsin. In addition to the cheesemakers, there will be a wine expert on board from Pam’s Fine Wines of Mukwonago, Wisconsin to talk about the wines being paired with the cheeses.
Parking is free and ample at The Elegant Farmer. Everyone is welcome to the orchard to pick from our 12 varieties of apples right from the tree or selecting the prefect pumpkins from the patch. Enjoy beautiful fall colors aboard a tractor-pulled hayride, pony ride or train ride. The East Troy Electric Railroad’s turn-of-the-century train departs from and returns to The Elegant Farmer Depot. Come try our 5-acres, family-friendly farm scene corn maze. While visiting, indulge with our delicious specialty foods including cider, make-your-own caramel apple, warm cider donuts, pulled pork and chili and more. Hope to see you in the orchard.

Christmas Express Santa Train
Nov 25 & 26, Dec 2 & 3, 9 & 10, 16 & 17, 2017
This magical ride will take you a half hour from our East Troy Depot (2002 Church Street, East Troy, WI) to Santa’s Workshop located at the Elegant Farmer. Here children can visit Santa and get a photo taken with the jolly elf himself! Enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies too! The trolleys will be heated and bathrooms are available in our East Troy Depot. Boarding is only done at our East Troy Depot at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, Noon, 1:30 am and 3:00 pm. Advance reservations are required. Tickets can be purchased online at www.easttroyrr.org. Bring a non-perishable food item with each member of your party and receive a 25% discount on tickets at our Depot. All donated items benefit the East Troy Food Pantry.
