Popcorn Sale & Celebration
January  2018

The word “corn” in Old English meant “grain” or more specifically the most prominent grain grown in a region. Maize being the most common grain in early America, the word “corn” was aptly applied. This time-honored treat can be sweet or savory, caramelized, buttered or plain or tossed with nuts and chocolate.  The Elegant Farmer offers you free samples of various popcorn throughout January and special pricing of buying 3 get 4th free.

National Pie Day Celebration
January 20-23, 2018

Dedicated to the celebration and sharing of pie, this celebration is the prefect opportunity to share the love of pie with all our fans!  Enjoy a  8″ Apple Pie Baked in a Paper Bag on sale for just $10  January 20-23, 2017 in our market with sampling on Saturday.


All Things Cherry
Saturdays in February, 2018  11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Throughout the month indulge in All Things Cherry including cherry pie, cherry applesauce, and yogurt covered cherries. Enjoy the healing properties and special pricing on our cherry juice concentrate. Come into the market and taste a variety of delicious Door County Cherry treats on Saturdays in February from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Maple Fest
Throughout March

Spring has sprung and the sap is running from our local maple trees!  Come in the Market throughout the month of March and enjoy special pricing on all maple products.  Enjoy on pancakes, oatmeal or as a natural sugar substitute.


National Π (PI) Day
March 10-14, 2018, 8 am-6pm

Honoring the other Π (Pi), we offer a weekend special on March 10-14. Come into the market and get our 5″ inch Apple Pie Baked in a Paper Bag on sale for $3.14  (reg. $5.99). Just as delicious as our full size pie but the 5″ inch pie is great for two people (or just one if you are really lucky) Enjoy!


Cheep, Cheep Easter Celebration & Bunny Train
March 24, 25 & 31, 2018. 10 am-4 pm

This free, family-fun event features the Easter Bunny and a 4-H menagerie of bunnies in costume, baby chicks and guinea pigs for petting and enjoying. Visiting The Elegant Farmer each year at Easter, the 4-H members educate and introduce children of all ages to the animals they have raised and cared for as part of their 4-H project. Ride the East Troy Electric Railroad’s Bunny Train (for tickets http://www.easttroyrr.org) and make a grand entrance to meet the Easter Bunny at the Elegant Farmer. Easter specialty foods including CiderBaked ham, fresh breads, Easter basket candies and more.  



Garden Center
April 21-June 24, 2018.
Open Every Day 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

The Garden Center specializes in locally grown vegetable plants including a wide variety of herbs and an expanded selection of tomatoes, peppers and cold crops. Known for our exquisite oversized hanging baskets, The Elegant Farmer’s greenhouse is just the place to pick up this season’s best for your front porch or backyard.



Wisconsin Blue Ribbon Cheese Tasting & Sale
June 9 & 10, 2018.  11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Want to taste the best cheese Wisconsin has to offer? Hundreds of cheeselovers come to this annual two-day fest to taste the best the state has to offer including award-winning cow, sheep, goat and mixed milk cheeses. Crafted and aged to perfection, many of these cheeses delighted the palate of the U.S. Championship’s judges and are sure to delight yours. 10% off all cheese during the tasting and sale.  Come and Enjoy!


Wisconsin Cheesemakers’ & Wine Train
June 9, 2018.  1 pm-3 pm
Boarding begins at 12:30pm departing promptly at 1 pm. Tickets go on Sale May 1, 2018. 

The Elegant Farmer hosts its 8th annual Wisconsin Cheesemakers & Wine Tasting Train Saturday, June 9, 1:00-3:00 p.m.  Come ride the rails on the Cheesemakers Train in air-conditioned comfort on board the beautifully restored East Troy Electric Railroad’s Dinner Car featuring an Art Deco vintage interior and elegant white tablecloth tables. This year’s train features the award-winning Cheesemakers from Emmi Roth USA along with Caprine Supreme and Door County’s famed Renard’s Cheese.  Wine experts from Pam’s Fine Wines will be on board to talk to riders about the wines being pared with the cheeses.

Tickets are $45 each for the two-hour ride which departs and returns to The Elegant Farmer Depot, 1545 Main Street at Hwys ES & J, Mukwonago.  The train travels roundtrip through the picturesque woods and lake view in the charming towns of Mukwonago and East Troy, Wis.

Parking is free and ample at The Elegant Farmer.  For more information contact info@elegantfarmer.com  Prior to boarding, enjoy a handcrafted sandwich or salad from our deli and cheese from our Wisconsin Blue Ribbon Cheese Fest in the market where we will be sampling of Wisconsin’s finest cheeses.  All cheeses are on sale for 10% off June 9 & 10, 2018.

Blue Ribbon Cheese Tasting & Sale

Straight from the state fair, come taste the best of the best. Enjoy samplings of Blue Ribbon award-winning artisan and specialty cheeses. Unique varieties, sampling and 10% off all cheese will be offered.


Autumn Harvest Festival
Saturdays & Sundays Only
September 8 – October 21, 2018.  10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or starting a new one this fall, The Elegant Farmer offers a family fun farm experience. Everyone is welcome to the orchard to pick from our 12 varieties of apples right from the tree or selecting the prefect pumpkins from the patch. Enjoy beautiful fall colors aboard a tractor-pulled hayride, pony ride or train ride. The East Troy Electric Railroad’s turn-of-the-century train departs from and returns to The Elegant Farmer Depot. Come try our 5-acres, family-friendly farm scene corn maze. While visiting, indulge with our delicious specialty foods including cider, make-your-own caramel apple, cider donuts, pulled pork and chili and more. Hope to see you in the orchard.

Give a Smile, Get a Smile
Throughout November & December

Long a supporter of area families in need, The Elegant Farmer created the Give a Smile, Get a Smile campaign. (Truth be told, it was the Smilin’ Barn’s idea!). When you visit the Elegant Farmer during November and December and give a $5 or more donation to help our area food pantries give a smile to families in need. With our thanks, get a smile back in the form of a beautiful Smilin’ Barn ornament. 100% of all donations to the Give a Smile, Get a Smile campaign go to several local food pantries. Thanks!
